Seven people were injured when the elevator they were riding collapsed at Millennium Towers, along Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road at Kijitonyama in Dar es Salaam this morning.
An Assistant from the Fire and Rescue Force Patrick Mohammed, said the accident occurred as a result of an overloaded elevator, carrying more than 10 people, over and above its capacity.
The injured were rushed to Kairuki Hospital for treatment.
