President Samia Suluhu Hassan has restructured two ministries and formed the Ministry of Planning and Investment, for which Ubungo Member of Parliament Prof Kitila Mkumbo becomes the Minister.
Dr Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba who was Minister for Finance and Planning is now Minister for Finance while Dr Ashatu Kijaji takes the Ministry of Industry and Trade, formally Investment, Industry and Trade Ministry.
The President has also appointed Lawrence Nyasebwa Mafuru as Executive Secretary for the National Planning Commission and picked Elijah Mwandumbya to be Deputy Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance ( Economic Management)
