Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba is in the Kenyan capital Nairobi to attend a two-day "Africa Forward" summit cohosted by French president Emmanuel Macron to strengthen economic cooperation with Anglophone African countries.
Dr Nchemba will attend the meeting which kicks off today on behalf of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The Tanzanian strong delegation of high-ranking government officials left for Nairobi yesterday.
The meeting will attract African leaders and business executives to chart strategies of economic cooperation with the former colonial master of many West African countries.
President Macron began his three-nation tour of Egypt, Kenya and Ethiopia yesterday.
The meeting will witness the signing of several agreements between French and Kenyan
companies to boost economic and commercial cooperation.
