Barrick North Mara Gold Mine has sponsored and taken part in a conference organized by the International Association of Students in Economic and Business (AISEC)Tanzania chapter, which brought together students, lecturers and stakeholders at Iringa University yesterday.
Through the conference which is held annually, students are able to learn and understand the functions and roles of various institutions and get accustomed to their requirements.
More to that, the students are empowered to discover their talent and build self-confidence and courage as they grapple with the stiff competition in the job market.
The students are also taught to be responsible citizens and be ready to contribute to development after their graduation.
During the interactive session, Senior Human Resource personnel from Barrick North Mara Gold Mine counseled the students on how best to face and solve various challenges of life and make use of their talent wisely.
The students had a rare chance of learning and understanding the operations of Barrick Gold Corporation and its dedication to social development. Also, they were able to learn how the corporation initiates and develops various talents in its workforce, society, and Tanzania as a whole.
