President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Suleiman Abubakar Mombo, the new Director-General of the country’s spy agency with effect from Thursday, July 11, 2024.
A senior official at the State House, Mombo replaces ex-ambassador Ali Idi Siwa, who has retired from public service.
A State House statement issued Thursday by the presidential communication unit said the new Tanzania Intelligence Services boss was immediately sworn-in by the president.
The powerful Tanzania Intelligence and Security Setvices agency is an important organ in modern-day good governance in the maintainance of peace and security in a world that witnesses political polarisation.
