Stakeholders in the mining industry will meet in Mwanza city for the 4th three-day Local Content Compliance Forum scheduled for kick off tomorrow (Monday).
According to the Mining Commission Executive Secretary, Eng. Ramadhani Lwamo, this year’s forum will dwell on the theme “Increased Local Participation in the Mining Industry: A Catalyst for Tanzania’s Economic Growth”.
The forum is expected to bring together players from the government, private sector, civil society, and development partners to review progress, share experiences, and strengthen strategies for promoting local content in Tanzania’s mining sector.
Emphasizing the importance of local participation in harnessing the full potential of the mining industry to drive national development, Eng. Lwamo appealed to companies, service providers, investors, policymakers, and the public to actively engage in this year’s discussions.
“The forum provides a platform for constructive dialogue and collaboration to ensure Tanzanians benefit from the mineral resources,” he said.
