Mara Online on Friday last week awarded a 55-inch 'Smart TV' set to Manga Secondary School in Tarime district, Mara region.

Mara Online Chief Executive Officer Mugini Jacob handed over the gadget to teachers and students to fulfill a promise that his organisation had earlier made.

"We promised to give you a TV set as you had requested. Today we're happy to bring this TV to you as you can see it," said Mugini, a professional journalist and also editor of Sauti ya Mara Kiswahili-language newspaper.

Receiving the award, Manga Secondary School headmistress, Editha Nakei, thanked the Mara Online leadership, promising that the TV set would be used to meet its intended goals.

Manga is a prominent co-education government secondary school in Tarime district for Forms One to Four students. It only admits girl students for Forms Five to Six.

In 2024, during a graduation ceremony at JK Secondary School, the Mara Online CEO, who was the invited chief guest, also handed over a TV set to the school as a present.
