President Samia Suluhu Hassan yesterday appointed Peter Philip Mwasalyanda the new Director General of the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), according to a State House statement released in Dar es Salaam.
He takes over from Dr Jabiri Kuwe Bakari who has been named the Director General of the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA).
Before his new appointment, Mwasalyanda was the Director General of the Universal Communications Service Access Fund (UCSAF).
President Samia also appointed nominated parliamentarian Angela Kizigha as her advisor on Social Affairs.
The statement also said the President transferred Ambassador Mobhare Matinyi from Sweden to Algeria.
